Evaluation of Groundwater Quality and Suitability for Irrigation Purposes and Human Consumption in Saudi Arabia

Studying groundwater quality is crucial for ensuring its safety because it widely used drinking and domestic, agricultural, industrial purposes. Owing to the lack of surface water in Tabuk area Saudi Arabia, here wells are one primary sources drinking, agriculture, industry. Groundwater determined by aquifer characteristics regional geology, extensively influenced both natural anthropogenic activities. To understand geochemical evolution assess suitability irrigation, major ion geochemistry was utilized characterize chemical composition area, which considered a semiarid plateau region. Depending on mineral composition, irrigation water’s reflects how affects plants soil. In total, 80 samples have been collected analyzed laboratory cations anions. Temperature, alkalinity (ALK), pH, total dissolved solids (TDS), electric conductivity (EC), hardness (TH), oxidation reduction potential (ORP), cation anion concentrations were measured. Water chemistry classification carried out using Piper diagram Gibbs diagram. current study, statistical methods, combined with modeling conventional plots, investigate related processes Arabia. Applications calculations hydrogeochemical parameters, specifically SAR, RSC, PI, CR, MH, Na%, KR, HI, showed that 92.5% well suitable purposes after treatment processes.
